lighting ficture
ok well no one would answer my question in my other thread since the name didn't really help it but this is more updated.
Its a turtle light. It has a regular thing where you screw in the bulb, then it has like an aluminum "satalite"/"reflector" and it now has a 60watt bulb in there and produces a good amount of heat....is this good for a light ficture for nights, i plan on puting it outside during the day...and under the light at night......So wut I AM TRYINGF TO ASK IS THIS HEALTHY?

Re: lighting ficture
You dont necessarily want heat out of the light....just light. That light might dry out the plant as it is growing, stunting it and resulting in you only getting a couple nugs. I would suggest sodium lights because they work the best. I though of this too but you can try if you want.

Re: lighting ficture
i dont plan on keeping the plant under the light for too long. How tall do you think, if the plant keeps growing at a regular rate, will be in like 2 months......because me and my brother are gonna grow a couple plants in his new apartment/house when he moves their in like 1-3 months. and i was just thinkin of traporting it their put it into a bigger pot, and then get all the lights and shit that cost money, when ill be able tro not care about growing.
( my rommate...owns the house, i just pay cheap rent.....doesn't want me growing. Something about his parents coming over..they live down the street just awhole bunch of b.s.

Re: lighting ficture
depends on the seeds. Some plants grow really small like the lowryders..but if its just some random generic shit from your shwag weed could even be a male!. Growing is pretty scientific these days and you need to keep a lot up to grow some good nugs.
My estimation....1-3 feet.

Re: lighting ficture
Ok well last night i went to walmart and got a light and its called a plant light..? So i went and asked the garden section guy, i laughed after i said it, is this good for indoor growing? and he said yes. i keep it on it most of the night and then put it outside when i wake up....
So my question is this gonna work? it was called a Plant Light so i was guessing it would work....but could you experianced growers tell me if this will work well for being at night?

Re: lighting ficture
HPS and MH lights will work dogg, you got an HPS and if memory serves that shit is high in blue spectrum which means it's ideal for vegging. when you're moving into flowering though you might wanna trade it up for a red-spectrum rich MH light, but some people use only one type through their whole grow with OK results.
