ummm...maybe I am missing something...I said 2 oz. (ounces) not pounds. Second I know of plenty of people in Alaska who grow indoors..maybe I am not sure what you mean.

Talking to people who live in Alaska or have recently moved...the way I understand it most cops in Alaska turn a blind eye to small amounts of marijuana (2 oz. or less) I know that is not the same as decriminalized but it sounds pretty damn close (at least for consumers but not dealers).

Re: Denver prices after pot is legalized?

Um, actually look at this.

Possession of less than 25 plants is protected under the Alaska Constitution’s right to privacy (See Ravin v. Alaska). Possession of 25 or more marijuana plants is “Misconduct involving a controlled substance in the fourth degree” and is punishable by a fine of up to $50,000 or five years in prison.

From this website:
http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4522

For possion of 4 ounces or less in the home, there is no offense, nothing.

The thing about alaska is why would you want to live there?

Re: Denver prices after pot is legalized?

Thanks shootist for the facts...I knew something I was saying was right about it, but obviously I was mistaken. Your other point is true: "why would you live in Alaska?"

still $50 an 1/8th for decent bud. unless you have a good hookup of course. Don't expect prices to change anytime soon.

Re: Denver prices after pot is legalized?

Being that I live in Denver.....So far prices have not shifted in anyway......Maybe some dealers have made changes but for the most part.....still the same......a bit easier to find though......more open than before......I get a 1/4 of dank for about 75.00 not much has changed.

You are mostly right... the one thing slightly wrong is the fed law... Basicly the federal view is to go with what ever the state says as far as "herbal drugs" go.

now i am stoned atm so i might i fuck up that facts alittle, but I am pretty sure that is mostly right

btw about the prices. I only think the price will shift once a state legalizes/detreminalize it...

Edit: btw i live an area where there are few cops and the ones that our around don't realy care about weed because we have alot of meth labs around this area so the are more worried about meth

Re: Denver prices after pot is legalized?

It's always been a "petty offence" in colorado to have up to an ounce. I know, cuz I got busted out there when I was in the army. PAid 14 dollars in court costs and it never showed up on the MPs blotter. Sweet deal, now that Denver has legalized posessionfor same ammount, but then again, Colorado has always been ahead of the curve when it comes to victimless crimes and using common sense.

Kind of a broad statement there bro. Where I live in Colorado it's the exact opposite. Here our police will treat the smallest and pettiest of "criminals" as if they were fucking child rapists or mass murderers or something. I got a possesion of under an ounce charge here once and I was ordered to pay a total of $750.00 in fines and the usual $50.00 in court costs. They even had the nerve to act as though I was getting offf super easy because they were not going to send me to mandatory druck classes or evaluations and they werent going to put me into the random UA program. Hell I think the only reason they did'nt try and make do either of those was because they realized from the very beginning that I had the attitude of someone who will stand up for their rights and will defintely stand up and make a seen for something that I believe in. The worst part is that I found out like two months later that the state had a maximum fine already set in place and that fine was $100.00 for a first offense. I had absolutely no criminal record of any kind at that time, and had never even come close to being busted for anything and they charged me $750.00. And could'nt do a damn thing about it because I signed the paper agreeing to pay that amount.

So basically there are many areas of Colorado which are more relaxed about smoking reefer and love taking the stance on weed of "We have Bigger and Better Things to Deal With Than Weed". But if you live in any of the more yuppy-fied rich ritsyer areas (forgive my spelling) of tyhe state chances are that the local law authorities will have take the exact opposite stance, and carry the belief that those who smoke pot are criminals and they need to reformed with either jail or endless court hearings and fines.

Bravo to Denver for sure. I can only hope that good things (the kind that can be proved on paper) start to happen in the Denver areas that will help to pursuade not only the rest of the state of Colorado but also the rest of the country to start at least listening to the people like you and I who are desperatly crying out to have sweet Mary Jane legalized once and for all.

Re: Denver prices after pot is legalized?

Where I live, everybody knows everybody else's shit, so, even the cops know you get high, but, they are very cool about it, since I do a lot of charity work and I know them all. They turn the blind eye to my buds and I. They'll say shit like, "Ummm, Psycho, you smell good..." and laugh. As long as you're not wheeling pounds down the street with a huge fat Marley hangin' out chore mouth, you're ok...I mean, You can't flaunt it, or anything. But, it's kinda like , "Don't ask, don't tell, don't look, don't see...we'll go this way, you go that way...we'll meet again down there". Or, Sgt. Schultz from Hogan's Hero's...."I see nothing, I hear NNNooottttthhhhhinggggg..."
