Denver prices after pot is legalized? - Toke Up

I was just wondering what the going rate for decent nugs is going for now that its practically legal.

I believe the state still overrules Denvers "legalization".... But when it is legal that would be weird...go to the gas station and get some joints, or go to walgreens to pick up some bud...

thinking about it logically, its too early to tell and it is still illegal state laws so the risk still stands.

plus i would expect it to be more pricier for a bit. Simple economics, really. Seeing as demand possibly went up, and the supply stayed the same [unless some local growers just harvested]. I would not expect the price to go down for the next couple/few months.

But growing is still illegal so that might never happen until that is legal, and/or if the state legalises it.

Just my thoughts, and I too would be interested on the price before it was legal and now after it is illegal.

I imagine grow-ops will flurrish like they did when CA decrminilized it. Becareful tho, cops start focusing more on the grow-ops, than the ones that just smoke it. And you get some serious charges for growing.

I have no idea what the prices in Denver were to begin with so knowing the new ones won't help me much. lol. I am glad that despite the fact that I live in Texas I happen to live in some weird alternate universe where the cops around here could really care less about weed as long as you don't run around acting stupid. My roommates on probation has tested hot for THC twice they just said, "we'll pretend this didn't happen" Been at parties where the cops were called for noise, weed all over the place ignored it just said turn down the music, best friend got arested for trying to run her husband over they searched her van ignored all the roaches and never mentioned it, same friend's crazy mother randomly calls CPS on her for no reason just does it twice a year or so, the social worker asked her if she smoked weed my friend said yeah, social worker said just don't do it infront of your kids. Around here nobody cares other then the army if you smoke pot. They have much larger drug problems to worry about.

I AM SUPRISED NO ONE BROUGHT THIS UP BUT My question is why would the prices come down at all? The ones who are still taking the risk (growers, distrubutors, dealers, runners, etc.) still are unaffected by the new law since only an ounce is legal or decriminalized or whatever. Any real distrubutor and/or their networks that have enough supply to flood the market and drop the price, would have much much more weed than an ounce. Thus why would they feel inclined to charge less for the same amount of risk. (The new law doesn't effect them anyway). Assuming costs of growing/cultivation,transportation, + profit distrbution remain constant why would the price of weed drop?

With a topic like this, being legalized for the FIRST TIME in the country(dont quote me on that), even ppl who havent smoked in years might spark up an interest for it.
No one is saying prices will drop(at least im not), I assume with the mad interest in weed in the city all of a sudden supply and demand will kick in, and prices, i assume will go up.

again who said anything about the prices going down

I'm not positive on this but...

its still illegal to smoke pot, the law that was passed was only a city law. There is still the state law and the federal law that makes weed illegal, i mean its not like people can just walk around smoking up- you'll still get in trouble.
