I thought I'd post considering there hasn't been much, and wanted to share some shit going down.
I recently decided to go nomadic here and migrate down the west coast, along the Pacific Ocean. Right now I'm in Seattle, Washington. Been very cold. I dematerialized about seven months ago, moving into my vehicle, and have since been through Wyoming, Montana, BC and down into WA. Started in the midwest and went from there. Have been living very simply and minimalist the last four months here in WA, saving, and now planning on venturing south for the next leg. Hoping to make it down to southern AZ, near the border, and find some work in the warmth. This way of living has been very unconventional, but has made me into a stronger person than I could have imagined. I feel like it's not over yet, there is much more to learn. I leave in about two weeks, and am looking forward to the Oregon cost particularly. much love tokeup. I haven't forgotten about you :P |

2. Savings as well as what I've saved since working here in Washington delivering pizza. I have rigged my vehicle, and do not pay any lease. My bills are very small, making payments on student loans, ect. But pay no utilities (no electricity, water, ect). 3. I have a gym membership and swim regularly. These places are great for being clean and strong. Have friends around too who I can crash with when needed. 4. Staying in a 2001 Ford Escape, removed all seats, rigged with a bed, storage, gear netting, all of my outdoor equipment, cooking equipment, climbing gear, ect, ect. This is my home and it is mobile and has been an amazing experience. 5. I will know when to stop. Not now. I can't give this way of living up yet. It is so free and enriching. But it too is highly unconventional, and there are aspects to being rooted that clearly are tempting. 6. Yes, lots of photos. I'll share soon. 7. Twenty-five. Man, I'm not ready to settle yet. Word son. |

I've never understood why people do road trips, camping, or think they aren't observing or are one with nature enough already. Is this going to help your finance? Are you planning that one day you'll be forced to live in a car and you'll be like pffft, easy.. ? I hope your vehicle has a good alarm, stereo, xbox, wireless internet etc, oh wait that's not natureish. Watching SAS survival techniques on Discovery is enough nature for me and I'm surround by farms. If you want to understand nature than start with yours. I don't know what you're looking for but I'm sure you're going to be chilling near a waterfall all peacefull and see an eagle take off from an old lightning struck tree branch that's in sand, the sky looking like it was waterbrushed with LSD, and it results in a life changing epiphany about how you relate to everything else. I need structure. Good for you.
